Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant PID Version(s): 08.11.11.43 (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit) Area: Customization Subarea: Annotation Original Author: Faisal Khan, Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview To Avoid Pipeline Annotation While Placing Off Page Connector Connected to Already Placed Pipeline in OpenPlant PID Problem Description User does not want to place pipeline annotation which by default pop ups while placing off page connector and connecting it to already placed pipeline. User does not want to cancel annotation placement instead wants that annotation should not pop up Steps to Resolve Launch Bentley Class Editor Open “OpenPlant_PID.01.07.ecschema.xml” schema Once schema opened, right click to “Supplement Schema” Press “Add” in “Specify Supplement Schemas” dialog Add “OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperial.01.07.ecschema.xml” Press “OK” to “Specify Supplement Schemas” dialog Once schema got supplemented, press “Find Class” Search for “Off Page Connector” Select "OFFPAGE_CONNECTOR" and select “Go To” Go to “Class” tab and make “Class Name” value empty for “Pipeline annotation class for connectors” attribute Save the changes and close class editor Launch OpenPlant PID application in same project in which above changes are made (in this case: Imperial) Place Off Page Connector in drawing and connect it to already placed pipeline No Annotation will pop up and Off Page Connector will be placed without any pipeline annotation Still a Problem?
