By default, name format for equipment is Device Type Code-Number. Problem Description User wants to show plant area in Equipment name as a format of Device Type Code-Number-Plant Area Steps to Resolve Launch Bentley Class Editor . Open OpenPlant workspace schema (OpenPlant01.07.ecschema) and click Open. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\OPModeler\schemas In Class Editor, right click on OpenPlant, select Supplement Schema . Supplement with OpenPlant_Supplemental_Tagging of your particular project here metric project. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModelerV8i\WorkSpace\Projects\OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Schemas Search Equipment Class , switch to Properties Pane. From right hand pane click on Add > New to add a new property. Enter the property name as SHOW_AREA as shown. Scroll down and find Calculated ECProperty Specification . Change the ECExpression as shown below. Save the changes and verify the result. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, create Unit, Service and Plant Area for equipment. Place an equipment notice the Tag name contains the Plant Area name and in format of Device Type Code-Number-Plant Area.
