Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Version(s): 08.11.09.xxx Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Settings/Attributes Subarea: Original Author: Abhijit Bute Bentley Product Advantage Group Background In Plant Design, few users avoid showing Threaded Weld graphically in the Isometrics, which means other weld symbol like Butt weld will be shown. To achieve this requirement following change in Schema is required. The steps are applicable to AutoPLANT Modeler and OpenPlant Isometric Manager. Image Showing Threaded Weld before modification. Steps to Accomplish Using Class editor Open "OpenPlant_3D.01.04.ecschema" schema and supplement it with"OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04. ecschema". See Default path mentioned below for Imperial project: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_IMPERIAL\Config\OpenPlant\Schemas Using "Find Class" button search class ' WELD '. Right click on Weld and select Add derived class. Give name ‘THREADED WELD’ and Display Label 'Threaded Weld'. Copy custom attribute AutoPLANT_PDW_CLASS_MAP from weld class. Paste it on Threaded Weld. Delete other class and module entries by right click on it and select remove element option and keep following entries. Delete above entries from weld class keep following entries. Now go Plant Base Object class and copy custom attribute “Isometric Mappings [PLANT_BASE_OBJECT] “ Paste on Threaded weld class. Add True value as per below image. Save the schema and reopen AutoPLANT modeler and generate isometric and review the result. See Also Comments or Corrections?
