Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler Version(s): 08.11.09.XXX (SS5) | 08.11.11.XX (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit) Area: OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Subarea: Iso-Generation Original Author: Deepak Singh,Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview To show continuing components in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. Problem Description In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, user requirement is to show continuing component to certain count. For example, user wants to show continuing component up to gate valve, weld neck flange B, Pipe B & Blind Flange in below arrangement as shown below. But problem arises when user wants to show continuity for next repeating components, say for Pipe B. In generated isometric user is getting continuity for pipe A only as shown below. Below wiki article explains, how to generate isometric with desired continuing components. Explanation has been accounted for modeling arrangement as shown in first image. Steps to Resolve Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager of your particular project. Click on Configuration icon as shown below. From Isometric Configuration window, switch to Isometric Style pane & ensure that you have selected your specific style as shown below. Switch back to Isometric Management pane & scroll down to Isometric Continuity Options as shown below. Notice, two sub section as explained below. Last Continuing Components: Continuity of components will be shown till defined component. Care should be taken here for defining next repeating components. For example, in below case. To show continuity up to weld neck flange B.Since weld neck flange A is already in the arrangement, defining last continuity component as weld neck flange will result only up to weld neck flange A. User need to select different component that is not already counted in the arrangement & should define continuing component number up to that component. Max Iso Continuing Components : It defines how many components from the connecting drawing will be displayed. For fastener, once it is counted by the application, it doesn’t account any count for next fasteners in the arrangement. Refer above image, notice the numbering of components. To reflect changes for continuing components, see below case along with results. For continuity up to weld neck flange B. As we know that once component is counted in continuity arrangement user need to define another component & should define number up to that repeating component. So settings will be as shown below. Save the settings & verify the result as shown below. For continuity up to Pipe B Setting will be as Result in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. For continuity up to Blind Flange Setting will be as Result in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager See Also Still a Problem? If above problem still persist, then please create a Service Request and contact the Bentley Product Advantage group. Please include a list of all relevant details to get in depth analysis for a solution or workaround. Comments or Correction? Bentley's Product Advantage Group requests that you please confine any comments you have on this Wiki entry to this Comments or Corrections?" section. THANK YOU!
