Description By default all borders are replaced with OPPID schema defined borders. This is done to for text updating purposes. In APPID the border contained all the information about the drawing. In OPPID this information is stored in the model. The OPPID border contains a tagset which matches PID_DOCUMENT properties. The tagset is the mechanism for syncing between the Database Drawing Border. Possible modification types The border cells can be added to either an existing cell library or a new cell library. This document will explorer both. Adding a APPID border cell to an existing library OPPID stores its border cells in Miscellaneous.cel under the Dataset\cell folder. Open Miscellaneous.cel OPPID Select File->Models Locate the APPID AutoCAD dwg border C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\P&ID\sym\DBORD.DWG Drag the drawings from explorer to the Models dialog Select Model and rename I tested inserting this cell into an existing Imperial DWG. The cell was too small. I adjusted the cell by scaling it in the cell library. The scale command can be used, but I used the following keyin: choose all;active scale 25.4;scale original;xy=0,0;xy=0,0;active scale 1.0;choose none;NULL Delete existing tag sets The default APPID tagset has two tags: DOC_NAME and DOC_FNAME Attached the existing TITLEBLOCK tagset Move the individual tags to desired locations inside the border. Adjust the individual tag text sizes. Open OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperial.01.03.ecschema.xml Find the existing class D_SIZE Change the cell name to the name defined in step 5: AP_DBORD Misc\Border AP_DBORD Miscellaneous.cel Adding a APPID border to a new library Copy Miscellaneous.cel and rename to APPID_Borders.cel . Open APPID_Borders.cel and delete all the existing cells Select File->Models Drag over the borders from APPID sym folders one at a time See step 4 from Adding a APPID border cell to an existing library Rename each These names will be used in the schema I tested inserting this cell into an existing Imperial DWG.
