Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Support Engineering Version(s): 08.11.11.235 (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit) Area: Project Dashboard Subarea: Support Drawing Original Author: Rahul Kumar, Bentley Product Advantage Group Problem Description In OpenPlant Support Engineering, user requirement is to generate drawing for multiple supports at a time or can called as ganged support to generate in one single drawing. With latest release of OpenPlant support Engineering a new parameter SplitGangSupport has been added to the project parameter grid inside Project Dashboard which defines how a ganged support is detailed when support drawing(s) are generated or also having the separate drawings for each component. Below steps highlights both option used using variable SplitGangSupport . Steps to Resolve Launch OpenPlant Support Engineering. Select OPModeler_Metric here. Select and file and open. Attach an I model file as reference file. Place supports on a pipeline, say Pipe Clamp Shoe and Single UBolt here. See below arrangement. From Support Engineering -> Project Dashboard. See variable SplitGangSupport By default, it is set as 1. Using same value as 1, will split the ganged support into separate drawings, each detailing a different pipe attachment in the BOM. See example below for both ways. Note - Once the user has defined the parameter in the Project Dashboard, it must be saved in the Project Dashboard and the OPSE model must be refreshed before the settings are applied. Once this has been done, the changes are reflected the next time the support drawing is generated. Change it to 0 to get grouped support drawing. It is advisable to restart OpenPlant Support Engineering and generate support drawing. When SplitGangSupport = 0 From Tool Cabinet, click on Generate Support Drawing Manually. Select Each support frames and structure manually using ctrl + Select. See below drawing with pipe support and BOM. When SplitGangSupport = 1 Generate support drawing. It will create individual drawing. To check Generate support drawing, navigate to project folder as per below mentioned path.
