Problem Description: In OpenPlant Modeler, requirement is to place male ferrule with a female ferrule. Also, for this arrangement automatic joint items should be as clamp connector & gasket. With default setup user is unable to place female ferrule with male ferrule component. Refer below image. Reason In OpenPlant Modeler under JOINT class for FERRULE_JOINT only Ferrule end is defined hence it is not allowing to place pipe ferrule with female ferrule end condition. Refer below image. In above image notice that we have only FERRULE (male end) end preparations. Adding female ferrule end preparation under FERRULE_JOINT will solve this issue. Steps to Resolve Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07. ecschema of your project using Bentley Class Editor . Supplement with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.07. ecschema & OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.07. ecschema . For More information on supplementing schema click here>>>> Navigate to JOINT class as shown below. Search for FERRULE_JOINT under OpenPlant_Physical_JointType_Map custom attribute. Refer below image on the same. Right mouse on End Preparation 1 & select Add Element as shown below. Enter End Preparation name as CLAMP_FEMALE_END as shown below. Save all the changes & place Female Ferrule with Male Ferrule combination in OpenPlant Modeler & verify the placement. Notice that above combination has clamp connector & gasket as joint items.
