Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler Version(s): 08.11.09.581 Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Component Subarea: Graphics Original Author: Rahul Kumar, Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview To apply slopes on a pipeline with Socket Welds type fittings in OpenPlant Modeler. Problem Description In OpenPlant Modeler, user tried to apply slope on a pipeline, which contains fitting type as socket weld elbows. This converted the fittings to butt weld type elbows or sometimes remove the elbows. See images below. Pipeline with SW fittings: Pipeline without fittings when slope gets applied: Steps to Resolve From Piping Tab, click on Apply slope option. Check OFF option “ Trim Elbows ” from Apply Slope Option dialog. Perform same operation for pipeline. Verify result. It retains the fittings with slope being applied. See image below.
