OpenPlant Support Engineering V8 i (SELECTseries 6) What's New? OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i (SELECTseries 6) Refresh 2 The following new features have been added in OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i SELECTseries 6 Refresh 2: A new parameter FracPrecision has been added to the Project Parameters section of the Project Dashboard which lets the user determine fractional precision when dimensioning supports using imperial units. Previously, the dimensions were displayed using decimal precision. The default dimension precision value is set to 1/16" but the following values can be used: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64. Refer link for details- To Display Dimension in Fractions Inside Support Drawing Added new option to place BOM Callouts on a support drawing which provides flexibility for the user to be able to clean up existing leader lines. Added new Support Elevation option to the Support Drawing task bar which lets the user place a callout on a support drawing displaying the elevation coordinates for the supported pipe. A new parameter CamPosReltoPipe has been added to the Project Parameters section of the Project Dashboard which determines whether the defined support component views in the support drawing are view relative to the pipe supported, which is the default, or relative to the model. A new parameter SplitGangSupport has been added to the Project Parameters grid of the Project Dashboard which defines how a ganged support is detailed when support drawing(s) are generated. The parameter gives the user the option to have all of the components for the ganged supports detailed in one drawing, or having the separate drawings for each component. RSS Reader - The reader has been added providing up to date news content regarding new releases, technical support information, upcoming conferences or seminars, and any other pertinent information about OpenPlant Products. OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i (SELECTseries 6) new Features The following new features have been added in OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i SELECTseries 6: Catalog Loader: The new Catalog Loader provides functionality to load MS Excel / CSV files containing content in the appropriate format directly into the OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i project database, via the Project Dashboard. Component Builder: The Component Builder allows the creation of new components using pre-defined templates through the Project Dashboard. AutoPLANT .dwg support. Support location relative to given Gridline in support drawing. OpenPlant Support Engineering Workflows OpenPlant Support Engineering works in conjunction with OpenPlant Model Server in a component based workflow by referencing out piping components or work breakdown structure elements in order to begin work and then checking in support components upon completion to OpenPlant Model Server. These support objects can then appear in isometrics generated from OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.
