Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant ModelServer Version(s): V8i Environment: N/A Area: N/A Subarea: N/A Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Does OpenPlant ModelServer support multiple project offices? Yes, Using ProjectWise Integration Server as our component repository OpenPlant ModelServer can support multiple project offices in a WAN environment without requiring database replication processes employed by other systems. This ensures that an OpenPlant managed project has a single source of truth. How do I import AutoPLANT 3D projects into OpenPlant? Bentley is currently developing the OpenPlant i-model Adapter to enable the AutoPLANT projects to be imported into OpenPlant. Exact steps that will be required to be taken will come out of the development. How do I import PlantSpace Design Series projects into OpenPlant? Bentley is currently developing the OpenPlant i-model Adapter to enable the PlantSpace projects to be imported into OpenPlant. Exact steps that will be required to be taken will come out of the development. Can I import PlantSpace Design Series projects into OpenPlant if I don't use MCS today? Yes. Usage of MCS is not a pre-requisite to migrating PlantSpace data to OpenPlant. What is the use of the variable OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING and OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT? The variable “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” when set to the 1, OpenPlant ModelServer stops checking and giving warning messages if any invalid port is found during Check Out or Check In operations. If it is set to 0, the OPMS checks for invalid ports during Check Out and Check In operations and shows up warning messages if any Invalid Port is found. The variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is read by the program only if the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0. Assuming that value of “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0, when the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is set to 0, the program will show warning messages if it encounters Invalid Ports during check Out operations but will allow the user to continue with Check Out and Check In operations. Assuming that value of “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0, when the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is set to 1, the program will not allow the user to complete the Check Out or Check In operations if any Invalid Port is detected.
