Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant PID Version(s): 08.11.10.XXX Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Properties Subarea: Original Author: Harpreet Singh, Bentley Product Advantage Group Background When user places valve in OpenPlant PID, then based on diameter and class, if it encounters more than one records in the database a dialog appears to select the valve as shown below: This is default order in spec grid which can be customized after following the steps given below section. For this exercise let's swap the order of End Condition column with Rating. Steps to Accomplish Launch class editor and load OpenPlant_PID schema. Supplement with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperial schema. Go to SPEC_VALVE_MAPPING_FOR_OPENPLANT_SPECS class. In the class tab, you will see the mappings in Specification Definition Mapping attribute. If we compare the mappings order in this custom attribute with the properties order in spec grid we will see that same order is being followed. For example, first mapping is for Size column and the first column in spec grid is Size. Similarly, second mapping is for Description and second column in spec grid is Description. Modify the 'Property Mapping[2]' and add the values for RATING in this element. Similarly add the values for End Conditions in 'Property Mapping[7]'. Save the changes in schema and verify results by re-opening the model. See Also Comments or Corrections?
