Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler Version(s): 08.11.09.XXX Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Schema Subarea: Lookup Value Map Pointer Original Author: Michelle Saucier, Bentley Product Advantage Group Background The Idea is to create a customized list of bend point radius data, in times when there is a special build that needs special data. Steps to Accomplish From Class Editor create a desired data list. Copy and Paste Bend Radius Value Map . Note: Paste to the Value Map Class, this will create BEND_RADIUS_VALUE_MAP2. The default list of existing data will be available in the properties tab, and can be removed if desired. Create desired list. Next define the category within Design Values. Locate Class> Plant Based Object> Named Item> Device> Piping Component> Pipe Bend Copy and Paste Pipe Bend to the Class Piping Component . From this a new class is created. Rename PIPE_BEND_New_Class. Make sure that from this new class the Bend Point Radius property is set to the new list. Change the Lookup Value Map Pointer to point to the new list. Save and close Class Editor. Open - Open Plant Modeler, to create the pipe bend with the appropriate data use the following " Addin" ( mechaddin place PIPE_BEND_New_Class DSC=PIPING) After drawing the pipe bend, verify that the Modify Component Operating Conditions created the Bend Point Radius Factor from the created list. Data can be selected and the radius is now able to be altered by the New List. Verify Result Launch OpenPlant Modeler. Place a Bend & check properties for data in drop down list.
