Wiki Page: How to Remove Trailing Zeros from EC Annotations in OpenPlant Modeler

Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler Version(s): 08.11.09.581 Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Settings/Attributes Subarea: - Original Author: Rahul Kumar, Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview To remove trailing zeros from some properties value for Annotation in OpenPlant Modeler. Background To remove trailing zeros for few properties to show it inside OpenPlant Modeler. See image below. Sometimes it is required have leading zeros or to remove trailing zeros from a property value say for Size, length etc. With below steps, user will be able to solve this issue. Steps to Accomplish Launch OpenPlant Modeler & select Drawing Composition Tab. Launch the Annotation Manager as shown in below image. Note – Please be sure the drawing activities in the model has been checked in/saved in order to avoid any losses in drawing. It will open ECAnnotation.cel file for further working. Also Annotation manger dialog gets open. See image below. In the Annotation Manager, create a new Model and set the type user want to include and assign a name. Select the Class in which annotation will apply to in the Item and select the " Place Text" icon shown on right side of dialog box. Select " Insert field ’"option in the word processor dialog. In the Fields Editor, Select “ Nominal Diameter ” property. Notice in Bottom it display the trailing zeros. From “ Double Format ” tab, select “ Trailing Zeros ” option. Change to to “Hide”. See image below. Adjust the size in ec annotation.dgn file and click on OK. Annotate Component and verify result. See below image. See Also Comments or Corrections?
