Forum Post: Extruded 3D object handles for odd shapes

When we draw a rectangular shape, either with a smart line or the draw rectangle command, then extrude it to a 3D solid, we see handles at all the corners at both ends of the object. We can use the handles at both ends to stretch the shape in any direction we want. When we draw any other shape using a smart line and extrude it, we only see handles on the corners of the original shape and one handle at the other end. We can still change the shape by adjusting the original handles and the length by using the handle at the other end, but it's not that easy to get the second end to stretch to a corner of an object. If the object had handles at both ends, we could adjust it more easily to match other items in the model. When you move the handle at the ends of the rectangular object, it stretches the complete end of the object, even though it doesn't have the single handle in the center of that face. So you can't change one corner of a rectangular object, even if you created it form a smart line. And you can only adjust the corners at one end of any other shape, even though this changes the shape of the other end. I am just wondering why rectangular items behave differently.
