Applies To Product(s): AutoPLANT Version(s): V8i SS3 08.11.08.123 & 08.11.08.151 Environment: N/A Area: N/A Subarea: N/A Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Overview There is a known issue, which occurs because PW Explorer V8i (SELECT series 3) is a 32-bit application and additional configuration is required for it to work correctly with a 64-bit AutoCAD 2010 or 2011 application. ProjectWise Integration with 64-bit AutoCAD Only ProjectWise V8 i (SELECT series 3) is compatible with 64-bit version of AutoCAD. To enable ProjectWise Explorer V8 i (SELECTseries 3) to work with 64-bit versions of AutoCAD the following steps must be followed: First of all download the attached registry patch file ProjectWise.zip , which contains patches: For AutoCAD 2011 only: acad2011only.reg For AutoCAD 2010 only: acad2010.reg For AutoCAD 2010 & AutoCAD 2011: acad2011only.reg Extract the file and save the required .reg file to a location on the workstation Log into Windows with Administrator access rights For Windows 7 simply type regedit in the Search Programs and Files window From Registry Editor interface, click on File and then Import Browse to the applicable .reg saved locally, and press OK The contents of that .reg file will be now be entered into the registry Note: The .reg files described above contain updates for AutoCAD installed into the default, out-of-the-box location. If your AutoCAD installation is to a non-default location, the contents of these .reg files must be edited to suit.
