Background Using OpenPlant Specification Generator, User can add material name that is not present in project database (.mdb) with the help of lookup Table Editor. Steps to Accomplish Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator V8i. Go to Tools tab. Select your particular project. Click on Specification Generator to launch Open and select your spec. Click on Open to load the spec. Select the section for which user want to add Material Name. Click on Material and in the drop down list user will see only those records that are retrieving from the added catalogs. On the top right hand side. Click on Define Custom Fields> Lookup Fields> Add Lookup Field. From the Column Section, Click and select the MATERIAL from the drop down list. Similarly from the Lookup Table Section, click and select materials from the drop down list. From the top right hand side, click on Lookup Table Editor and from Lookup Tables select Materials. From Values of Materials section click on Add Lookup Value. Refer the image as shown below. Add the material code and description for your material e.g. RB as Rubber (in this case). Go to the desired section, click on Material. New material lists are updated in the drop down list. See image below. See Also Comments or Corrections?
