Applies To Product(s): AutoPLANT Modeler Version(s): 08.11.12.235 and all previous Environment: N/A Area: N/A Subarea: N/A Original Author: Kestutis Mitkus and Berrie Geboers, Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview All components in AutoPLANT Modeler can be created with their own Tag Number using tag creation tool in components information dialog. Components are different and they may have different Tag numbering rules and these rules can be configured by creating a Tag Type. By default component Tag Types are already created and if there is a requirement a new Tag Type can be created and mapped with required component type. By default Relief Valves are mapped with Hand Valve Tag Type - AT_HVALVE. User request is to have separate Tag Type for Relief Valves similar one to to instrument tag type - AT_INST. Steps to Accomplish Start Bentley Project Administrator, open projects tree, select on Tag Types section and copy suitable existing Tag Type. If no changes are needed then OK can be clicked right away, but if there is requirement for some changes in this Tag Type then edit all required settings. Regarding users requirement, copied Instrument Tag Type were edited with same settings as is set on AT_HVALVE Tag Type except Tag Code, which where left the same. New Tag Type AT_RFVALVE was successfully created and now it needs to be mapped with Relief Valve component. Open your projects Projdata folder and start Projdata.mdf file. Open VALUEMAP2D3D Table and search for Relief Valve AT_VALVE_RELIEF. Change FIELD_VAL_2D value from AT_HVALVE to your newly created Tag Type(AT_RFVALVE) Save all changes, start AutoPLANT Modeler and test Tag number creation on Relief Valve.
