Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant PID Version(s): 08.11.10.XXX (SS5) | 08.11.11.XXX (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit) Area: Configuration Subarea: Original Author: Harpreet Singh, Bentley Product Advantage Group Background In default OPPID_Iso project, pressure reducing valve orientates based on the pressure values. Bigger port orients itself towards the run which has lower pressure value as shown below. User want to change this behavior to orientate the valve based on run size. Steps to Accomplish Open Valve.cel library (located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS6)\WorkSpace\Projects\OPPID_ISO\Dataset\cell folder) and open the model 00594A as highlighted below. You will need to flip the valve graphics so that ports stay on the same location. Launch Class Editor and load OpenPlant_PID schema and supplement it with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_ISO schema. Go to PRESSURE_REDUCING_VALVE class and copy “Orientation Data Change Property Name” custom attribute. Select “Orientation Data Change Property Name” custom attribute and click Copy. Now go to PRESSURE_REDUCING_INLINE_VALVE class and modify the highlighted fields as shown below. Go to PRESSURE_SAFETY_VALVE class and copy MAIN_SIZE property. Paste this class on PRESSURE_REDUCING_INLINE_VALVE class. Repeat step 7 & 8 for below given properties. REDUCING_SIZE NOMINAL_DIAMETER_REDUCING_END Again go to PRESSURE_SAFETY_VALVE class and select SIZE property. Copy “Calculated ECProperty Specification” custom attribute. Select SIZE property on PRESSURE_REDUCING_INLINE_VALVE and click Override button. Paste the custom attribute on this property. Save the changes in class editor and verify the result. NOTE: Orientation will take place only at the time of placement. If run size is edited thereafter it will not reflect on the graphics. See Also Comments or Corrections?
