Background In OpenPlant Support Engineering, user requirement is to generate weight for support components like Rod, clamps and others. With below steps, user should be able to customize BOM expressions to enable it to generate weight as actual basis and as per modified length basis. Steps to Accomplish Launch OpenPlant Support Engineering. Select OPModeler_Metric here. Select working file and open. Attach an I model file as reference file. Place an assembly on a pipeline, say Single Stretch Piping Assembly here. See below arrangement. From Support Engineering -> Project Dashboard -> Settings -> Expression Manager . Check Support Rod entry to add weight for the same. Modify expression by adding below strings. Wt= Wt = is a static value. User can enter any logical naming. Weight derives from expression Save & close dashboard. Re-open OpenPlant Support Engineering. From Tool Cabinet, click on Generate Support Drawing Manually. Select support Assembly & click OK.
