Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant PID Version(s): 08.11.10.XXX (SS5) & 08.11.11.XX (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8/10 (64 bit) Area: Installation-Configuration Subarea: Customization Original Author: Harpreet Singh, Bentley Product Advantage Group Background Revision property in PID_DOCUMENT is a numeric property and hence it doesn't allow alphabets. If user want to define the revision as A then they need to change the type of property in the schemas. Steps to Accomplish Launch Class Editor. Load the OpenPlant schema located here "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS6)\WorkSpace\OPPID\schemas". Locate the PID_DOCUMENT class and select REVISION property. Change the TypeName field to a STRING. (Default has this as a type DOUBLE.) Save the schema and close it. Load the OpenPlant_PID schema and supplement this with the OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperal schema. Both located in the "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS6)\WorkSpace\Projects\ \Dataset\schemas" folder. Locate the DOCUMENT class and change the REVISION property TypeName field to a STRING. If you want you can add 'Property Custom Attribute' on REVISION property and add 'A' as default value as shown below. Save the changes and verify the result. Comments or Corrections? Bentley Product Advantage Group requests that you please confine any comments you have on this Wiki entry to this "Comments or Corrections?" section. THANK YOU!
