Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler Version(s): 08.11.09.XXX (SS5) | 08.11.11.XXX (SS6) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit) Area: Component Subarea: Data Original Author: Justinas Lipnickas , Bentley Product Advantage Group Background If during some point of your project, user want to change their Element Templates or Named Expressions, already modeled pipelines are not automatically redrawn to represent new look. User need to manually 'trick' OpenPlant Modeler into redrawing its old components. There are multiple commands in OpenPlant Modeler which does redraw components after them, but it is advisable to use "Edit Insulation" in Pipeline Manager, as it requires very little user input and does redraw all components as needed. Note: This is only applicable to users working in a file based mode, users working with a OpenPlant ModelServer setup should not get into these kind of issues, as updated Element Template should be used on the next component check-out. Steps to Accomplish Open Pipeline Manager, select the line(s) you would like to update, click Edit Insulation button; If line has no insulation, just add some to it (there is no difference in the settings), click OK. After component update finishes, Edit the insulation again and check on the Remove Insulation to get inside pipeline to the original state. After these updates, pipeline should have a new Element Template applied to it, according to the changed Named Expressions. If pipeline already has some insulation, user would need to switch the order of steps 2-3, by firstly removing insulation, and then adding it back again. Alternatively, user can select the pipeline and run Key-in " bmech rebuild ". Save the DGN & it will restore the levels. See Also Comments or Corrections?
