Hello Bentley OpenPlant Users, We are in the process of gathering "typical" tag names and annotation formats for the upcoming OpenPlant CONNECT Edition Release. Here is your chance to help influence the content for these component/element types. Our intent is to streamline the tag names and annotation for Equipment, Instruments, Valves, Pipelines, and other special components. I am looking for your input and with it, the ability to influence out of the box tagging and annotation. I want to clarify the difference in the two components. The TAG NAME is the string that makes the component unique. For an example, a Pipeline tag may be Plant Unit - Number. The ANNOTATION, is a unique on drawing annotation element, that is used to identify the component - not uniquely identify it like the Tag Name but, include the "other" component data. For an example, Pipeline Annotation may include Pipeline tag (Unit and number) - Service - Size - Spec -Insulation Type - Insulation Thickness.
