Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Version(s): 08.11.11.285 (SS6Refresh4) Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit) Area: Settings/Attributes Subarea: Original Author: Swapnil Joshi, Bentley Product Advantage Group Overview To exclude components with a specific SORT CODE from BOM Background The user has assigned a specific SORT CODE to different components which he wants to exclude from the Bill of Materials (BOM). By following the steps mentioned below the user will be able to achieve this requirement. Only OpenPlant Isometrics Manager 08.11.11.285 is the supported version. AutoPLANT Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Steps to Accomplish Launch Bentley Class Editor, open OpenPlant_3D schema. Supplement Isometrics IsoExtractor schema. Search for PIPING COMPONENT class and click on Go To. In the property tab go to CODE property and remove AutoPLANT PDW Property Map custom attribute. Add a new property and type name SORT_CODE and add following Custom Attributes. Modify Custom Attributes as shown in the image below. From the Plant Base Object click on Custom Attributes > Copy. Copy the Custom Attributes Default Bill of Materials and Specific BOM Labels. Navigate back to PIPING COMPONENT and paste copied Custom Attributes. Click on Class tab, in default Bill of Materials add the following element. Add Specific BOM and add attribute SORT_CODE. Save the schemas and close Bentley Class Editor. Open the overrides.txt file from iso-style. Add the following syntax in overrides.txt file. (e.g. User wants to exclude all the components having SORT_CODE 103 from Bill Of Materials) #To have items on SORT_CODE 103 not show on BOM RULE: SORT_CODE 103 items not show in the BOM INCLUDE = SORT_CODE = 103 NotOnBOM = 1 The components with SORT_CODE 103 are excluded from the BOM.
